Congratulations to Elijah (10 MacKillop) who is currently performing in Miranda Musical Theatre Company’s first ever junior production, ‘Into the Woods”.
Elijah has a leading role in the production in a sold out season at the Sutherland Arts Theatre. 'Into the Woods' is a Stephen Sondheim musical intertwining Grimm Fairy tales - Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel and Little Red Riding Hood.
Best of luck to Elijah as he enters his second weekend of performances.

Today approximately 20 of our Year 10 students are involved in an Archdiocese of Sydney Catechist training day.
Students will use the information and skills learnt today to assist them with their Catechist role in the local community.

Today's Peer Support session focused on practical strategies to assist students when they may encounter anti-social behaviour. Everyone has a right to feel safe, included and accepted and we all have a responsibility to call out and/or report anti-social behaviour or bullying.
Students listened to scenarios, outlined relevant social issues and considered solutions to the behaviours addressed.
Exercises such as the ones the students engaged in today help develop resilience, coping strategies and a heightened awareness of acceptable social norms.

Year 11 Modern History students are currently studying an introductory unit, The Nature of Modern History, focusing on historical sites and sources. The course requires a mandatory site study and students visited the Q Station, Sydney's original quarantine station, one of our most significant heritage locations. Students were able to immerse themselves in a bygone era while reflecting on our social and cultural past.

This morning Year 7 attended Mass for the first time as a cohort whilst also celebrating St Patrick's Day.
Today's Gospel from John reminded us that Jesus sees people who feel left out or unnoticed and He brings hope where it seems impossible. Just as He helped the man by the pool, He invites us to notice others, show kindness and believe that change is always possible with courage and faith.
