Congratulations to Kilian on an outstanding achievement. During the first week of the school holidays, Kilian captained the NSW U15 team to a gold medal at the National State Championships in Melbourne. Following his exceptional performance and leadership throughout the tournament, he has also been selected as one of just 48 players to join the Australian U16 squad.

A remarkable accomplishment that reflects Kilian’s talent, dedication, and hard work. We wish him all the best as he represents Australia at the next level.

Recently Year 8 Italian students brought their 'Mangiamo' unit to life with interactive role plays. Students wrote creative scripts, brought in props to give their plays an authentic Italian trattoria feel and performed in front of the class.
Bravo to Year 8 for stepping up and having fun with their Italian language learning!

Today, as the HSC examinations begin, our Year 12 students are in our thoughts and prayers.
We pray St Thomas Aquinas' prayer:
Lord,
True source of light and wisdom,
Give me a keen sense of understanding, a retentive memory, and the capacity to grasp things correctly.
Grant me the grace to be accurate in my writing and the skill to express myself with thoroughness and clarity.
Be with me at the start of my work. Guide its progress and bring it to completion.
Grant this through Christ, our Lord. Amen

Good luck Jacinta!

At just five years old, Jacinta discovered karate at a small self-defence stand in a shopping mall. Nearly a decade later, the Year 9 student from Aquinas Catholic College, Menai is preparing to represent Australia at the 2026 World Cadet, Junior & U21 Championships in Poland.

Competing against young athletes from more than 100 countries, Jacinta’s journey is a testament to the discipline, dedication and resilience it takes to pursue a passion - both on and off the mat.

Training five to six times a week, Jacinta also remains committed to her studies, balancing her sporting goals with her learning and wellbeing.

We’re incredibly proud of Jacinta and wish her all the very best. More here: https://ow.ly/ekTr50ZUMJu

Our Aquinas Junior Girls Basketball Team recently competed in the NSWCCC Tournament after earning their spot by winning the Sydney Championships earlier this year.

Over two days last, they faced the top teams across NSW, taking on competitors from Tumut, Albury, Wollongong and Hunter Valley. Their teamwork and determination were on full display as they powered through the four-round games to qualify for the Quarter Finals. After a few closer games in the finals and a semi final win by 6 points against McAuley, Tumut they met St Mary's Star of the Sea , Wollongong in the grand final where they won by 9. This crowned them the best team Junior Girls team In New South Wales Catholic Schools which is an honor and well deserved.
A huge thank you to the team for their commitment and effort this season, and to all the parents who came out to support them.
Coached by Sheree Moore, Melinda Andriejunas and Michael Turton.
