Congratulations to the Aquinas Catholic College Menai Class of 2023 on your outstanding Higher School Certificate (HSC) results! 

Our school placed 108th in the state in The Sydney Morning Herald rankings. 

We recorded 109 Distinguished Achievers, two All Rounders and a Band 6 rate of 15.7 per cent. 

Estelle Grantham also placed first in the Diocese in Business Studies, while Taylor Ramsey placed first in the Diocese in Drama. 

Aquinas Principal James Clancy congratulated Year 12 on their fantastic effort and achievements.

“I’m very proud of our results. our students have worked extremely hard with the support of our dedicated staff,” he said. 

“The key to our school’s HSC success lies in maintaining high expectations, nurturing a collaborative culture and appropriate subject selection which sustains engagement, motivation and success.

“Our students responded positively to the challenges put to them by their teachers, and our higher achieving students worked consistently over the past two years. demonstrating self belief, time management and regularly sought feedback.”

SUCCESS ACROSS THE SYSTEM 

Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) has once again achieved outstanding results in the 2023 HSC with nine of its 33 secondary schools ranked among the top 100 high schools in NSW.

A total of 18 schools ranked among the top 150 high schools—one more than last year—strengthening SCS’s position as one of the top performing systems in Australia.

SCS recorded an impressive 2780 Distinguished Achievers, 47 Top Achievers and 67 All Rounders.

Notably, eight SCS students also received HSC First in Course honours.
