Our school was among the top 150 schools in NSW according to the The Sydney Morning Herald rankings, climbing an incredible 68 places to 107th in the state—the second biggest jump across Sydney Catholic Schools.
We recorded 132 Distinguished Achievers, four All Rounders and one Top Achiever, as Ethan Robinson placed eighth in the state for Construction Examination.
More than 30 per cent of students achieved an ATAR of more than 85, while together the cohort received 56 nationally recognised VET Certificate II and III qualifications and 18 HSC Showcase nominations.
Year 12 performed exceptionally in Mathematics, with Mathematics Advanced, Mathematics Extension 1 and Mathematics Extension 2 all achieving more than 12 per cent above state average.
Principal James Clancy congratulated Year 12 on their fantastic achievements.
“I am incredibly proud and pleased that the efforts of our students and staff have come to fruition,” he said.
“I believe this result is due to a combination of consistent effort from our students who’ve worked together to support each other, alongside teacher-student relationships built on trust and teacher collaboration.
“At the core of this success is a culture of high expectations and a commitment to appropriate subject selection, ensuring every student’s academic path is aligned with their personal strengths.”
SUCCESS ACROSS THE SYSTEM
Sydney Catholic Schools is celebrating an outstanding year of achievement with the Class of 2025 delivering some of the strongest HSC results in the system’s history.
Nearly 4,500 SCS students completed HSC exams this year, collectively achieving 2,875 Distinguished Achievers listings, 43 Top Achievers, 53 All Rounders. Five schools ranked among the top 100 high schools in NSW in The Sydney Morning Herald HSC rankings, with 17 schools in the top 150.
Sydney Catholic Schools again enjoyed incredible success across the Creative and Performing Arts and Vocational Education and Training (VET), with students receiving a record 321 nominations across HSC Showcases, and 1,989 nationally recognised VET Certificate II and III qualifications.
