Yesterday presenter, Michael Fitzpatrick was back at the College inspiring our Year 10 students with a powerful presentation on leadership and the importance of stepping up.
He challenged them to see leadership not just as a position but as something that requires responsibility, courage, integrity and service. Through stories and reflection, Michael encouraged students to recognise moments in their own lives where they can step forward, make a difference and embody the values of kindness and faith.
His session left the cohort motivated to embrace their role as emerging leaders within the school community and beyond.

Our ACYF students were lucky enough to meet him and he even sent our Aquinas community a message!

ACYF Update:
Our students were fortunate enough to listen to Fr Rob Galea speak. They enjoyed down time with bracelet making, singing and dancing, witnessed the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and concluded the Festival with the celebration of Mass with all of our Australian Bishops.
A major announcement was also made: The next Australian Catholic Youth Festival (ACYF) which will be held in Sydney in 2028!

Yesterday spirituality facilitator, Michael Fitzpatrick led Year 8 students in a thoughtful and engaging spirituality session that invited them to explore the meaning of sacraments and symbolism in their own lives.
Through interactive discussion and reflection, Michael encouraged the students to see themselves as living symbols of their school community, both collectively and individually. His presentation balanced faith, personal growth, and community building, helping students to deepen their understanding of spirituality in a way that was accessible and inspiring.
Special thanks to Dr Maroney, Mrs Maistrelis, Mr Lillis, Mrs Anzelotti, Ms Reyes and Ms Zhu for attending and participating.
